Last meal at the rally

Our final meal of the rally was a catered dinner and devotional held in the smaller rally room. The food was good followed by games where everyone won something.

Entertainment

We had a three person band one night and this singer the next night. There were even people line dancing (sure wished I could have joined them).

Luncheon away from the campground

The cars lined up out front to take the ladies to their luncheon and the men to their lunch. The ladies went to the Huisache Grill and the men went to Schobels buffet. We had an excellent meal - everyone enjoyed the food there.

Lonestar Travelcade Club rally

This is the rally hall where we had most of our functions.

Lonestar Travelcade Club rally

On April 12, 2010 the Lonestar Travelcade Club started their very first rally at Stone Creek RV Park in Schertz, TX.
This was formerly a Fleetwood club but have re-formed and opened up their membership to people owning any make of RV. Most sites were large pull-thru sites but in order to get me close to the rally hall I got a back-in site.

Renegade rally over

I made it back from the Sheltie picnic just in time for another meal. This was a catered BBQ dinner with brisket & sausage and all the fixins'. We had time for one last game of Farkle before we called it a night. I came back to the motorhome and was asleep on the sofa by 9:00. It has been a hectic but very enjoyable weekend!

More Sheltie picnic photos

The last of the pictures at the picnic, plus one of my tired babies when they got back to the motorhome.

Houston Sheltie Sanctuary Picnic

After the S. TX Renegades business meeting I left the campground and headed "cross-country" to Bear Creek Park for the Sheltie picnic. Both of my dogs are rescue dogs that I adopted from this group.

Sat.at the Renegades rally

Pancake breakfast started at 8:00 (well, I made it there by 8:30 and there was still plenty to eat). The General Business Meeting started at 9:30 and was a typical business meeting. The Six-state Rally in Sept. was discussed. I volunteered to help there but they already had all the volunteers they needed. I got my membership notebook with information about the club and pictures of the members.

South Texas Renegades Rally

On Friday they offered a continental breakfast at 8:00 AM but I was peacefully sleeping then. I had special plans with my friends Ted & Donna for this day. I drove to their house in The Woodlands. The house is what I expected - a beautiful, elegant home for two lovely people (should I describe Ted as "lovely"???). They are a fun couple and I enjoy their company. We had lunch on their patio and the weather was perfect.

I made it back to the campground just in time for dinner. We had lasagna with salad and garlic bread. Ok, so this weekend was all about food!

Good food and fun games! We had red beans & rice for dinner followed by games. I played Farkle again. I'm kinda starting to understand the game. :-)

South Texas Renegades Rally - April 2010

I got a great campsite at the Houston North KOA for the South Texas Renegades rally. The last Renegades rally I ended up in the hospital so I am glad this one went so well. We were across from the rally room and the indoor swimming pool. I had looked forward to getting in this pool but I was running around all weekend.
